Overview
The W hopper progressing cavity pump range is developed specifically to handle difficult-to-pump, non-Newtonian liquids and fluids with viscosities greater than 10,000 cP. Based on Moineau™ progressing cavity pump technology, the W range uses an auger mounted inside the hopper to convey liquid into the pumping element (stator and rotor) — a trouble-free, efficient pumping solution few other pumps can provide.
The W range is built around in-house stator manufacturing and rotor machining for durability, with an angular-sided hopper that guides non-free-flowing liquids onto the auger for maximum conveying efficiency, and the unique Sydex 4-pin cartridge system with a pre-assembled connecting rod for easy maintenance. It handles flow rates from 0.1 to 200 m3/h (0.44–88 USGPM), pressures up to 24 bar (348 psi) and viscosities up to 10,000 cP, in close- or long-coupled form across 34 models. Typical applications include high-viscosity and non-Newtonian fluids, pastes and solids-laden liquids, making it well suited to General Industry, Food & Drink and Bio-Pharmaceutical work.
