G Range
The G range is a feeding-screw progressing cavity pump for highly viscous, solids-laden and non-Newtonian fluids and sludge cakes. A wide screw feeder and enlarged hopper maximise volumetric efficiency, with no bridge-breaker required. It is a better hopper pump than standard open-throat designs.
Overview
Pumping highly viscous, solids-laden and non-Newtonian fluids is a difficult, complex process. Sydex developed the G feeding-screw progressing cavity pump range to ensure easy, efficient handling of high-viscosity fluids. The pump's wide diameter and screw feeder, combined with an enlarged hopper, deliver high performance and maximise the volumetric efficiency of the rotor/stator. The G range design makes it a better hopper pump than standard open-throat pumps.
The G range is ideal for dehydrated, high-density fluids and biogas, its auger design and square-sided hopper eliminating solids build-up; no bridge-breaker is required and a pre-assembled connecting rod keeps life-cycle costs low, while the unique Sydex 4-pin cartridge system (with a 2-year warranty) and in-house, vacuum-hardened stator and rotor manufacturing ensure a robust build. It handles flow rates up to 100 m3/h (440 USGPM) and pressures up to 48 bar (696 psi), in close- or long-coupled form across 22 models. Typical applications include sludge-cake and high dry-solids transfer, biogas and dewatered or high-density fluids, making it a strong fit across Biogas, Wastewater Treatment and Mining & Quarries.
