Overview
The E range vertical API 676 progressing cavity pumps are also known as barrel-emptying, vertical sump or semi-submersible pumps. Vertical pumps suit numerous oil & gas and chemical applications where high suction lifts (low NPSHa) are an issue. The pump mounts directly inside a tank, keeping the motor clear of potentially hazardous or corrosive environments.
Sydex has supplied progressing cavity pumps into the onshore and offshore oil & gas industry for many years — including the Abu Dhabi pipeline project and various complex offshore platforms worldwide. Our pumps are manufactured and tested to very high specifications (mechanical run, performance, NPSH, noise and vibration tests). We understand that oil & gas customers require high levels of documentation, and can provide everything from simple packages to full material certification and testing — including 3.1b, radiography and dye penetrant.
Engineered for oil & gas, the E range accepts API 682 cartridge seals and API plan seal systems, offers high suction capacity at low NPSH, and packs a robust build into a small, vertical footprint for confined spaces. It handles flow rates up to 140 m3/h (616 USGPM) and pressures up to 24 bar (348 psi) across 25 models. Typical applications include flare knock-out drum pumps, produced water, low-NPSH and high-suction-lift duties, crude oil processing, drilling mud, waste chemicals and oil/water separation, all within the Oil & Gas sector.
